Fayette State Park is one of the U.P.'s "lesser known" secrets for photographers. Late in October, after most of the leaves had dropped, I was up shooting waterfalls. I had always wondered what was here, so we took a detour down onto the Garden Peninsula and drove in here. By this time of year, the park is closed, but the gates are open and we had the whole grounds to ourselves. I was surprised and pleased with the remaining foliage on the White Birch trees.
